Today was the best medicine Julian could have gotten. He had some surprise visitors from his best friends at home. This is the most I’ve seen Julian smile since August 21st. He loved seeing them, hearing stories from back home, and reminiscing about things they’ve done. It’s so sad that we had to take away the physical touch of friends and family during this horrible time in our life. Sometimes it’s just a hug, or friendly face that would make all the difference. Words of encouragement from those that are closest to you that mean more than all the therapy in the world. I’m sad he can’t get those hugs but today gave him a good reminder of what he’s fighting for and what he has to go back home to. Thank you to all the moms for making the trip. It does take a village and he has found the best village to be surrounded by! Not only are these some of his best friends but the moms are also the best! He wants to come home to y’all so bad but we will continue to fight to stay here as long as we can to be the best shape when we do. He has a couple bracelets from one mom, “Against all odds “ and “I can, I will”. Good words to live by in our situation.
