It’s been 3 months since Julian’s accident. Hard to believe it’s been that long. Today was the first time since then that I had my whole family together that we could see and touch each other. I have missed having chris and ALL my kids together. We were able to go to dinner together and we are quickly still getting ready to come home. I spent the whole weekend doing all the care for Julian. Shepherd likes to make sure we are ready to do all of his care so we do a dry run while we have back up with the nurses. It’s still so surreal that we are coming home soon. Most patients here transition to the “day program “ where they live in the apartments on campus and come for 6 hours of therapy during the day. There are certain physical requirements to transition to the day program that we aren’t ready for yet so we’re going to come home for some togetherness and at home therapy. We will continue to get stronger and continue seeking the right treatment plan for Julian. We are going to keep soaking up all the information we can this week on taking care of him to the best of our ability. We will keep looking at the positives, that we can be together and regroup as a family. We have much to be thankful for this thanksgiving and I’m counting every single blessing that we’ve been given since this happened. Our amazing family and friends that have been there for us through thick and thin, the tremendous outpouring of love and affection for Julian, and just still having Julian in our life most of all.
Kendra Scott jewelry has shown to be a company that believes in giving back. The fundraiser that they did for Britt was amazing to watch. They have also been gracious to do a fundraiser for Julian. My family is doing a trunk show Tuesday night or any online shopping can be done with the code GIVEBACK-BBZSS on the 22nd and 23rd of November.
Thank you so much for the continued love and support!
