Wow has it been a busy week. Julian and I moved home Tuesday and were greeted by his amazing friends that came to show their love and support. My sister mentioned how in the crazy world, there are awesome kids being raised out there to show kindness love, empathy, and compassion toward others. He has enjoyed being outside in our beautiful weather lately sitting with friends chatting. He loves being home with his dogs ( even though we have to keep a close eye on them because they aren’t gentle) tried to step up and be his PT/OT with everything I learned. We probably haven’t done it enough but we’re getting there finding a balancing act of being mom again to 2 others and Julian’s needs. I’ve gotten to see good friends this week and feel hugs in person! You really learn who and what is important during events like this, but I have the best friends and chris and I work for the best companies. LMC is helping with our bathroom renovation ( which is still in progress). I received that wonderful news the day we left Shepherd. There was a reason I switched to LMC 17 years ago and couldn’t wait to go back when we moved back to SC. Lexington Medical Center Foundation. We also had a surprise call today that my sister in law, Stacy and her mom Dana, set up for us. We had a FaceTime call from Luke and Caroline Bryan. We’re huge country music fans and Alex went to his concert for his 8th birthday. That was super nice and anything that makes a Julian smile, makes me smile. I know he probably is having some difficulties transitioning home but being Julian, doesn’t let me know his struggles. I don’t miss being in the bubble at shepherd but we are missing our new lifelong friends. We have been keeping up with their progress. We have FaceTimed and get pictures of their accomplishments and we watched Britt’s graduation today as well from inpatient. My wish is one day all my shepherd friends and us can get together for a reunion when everyone is on the mend!
